Our collaboration understands energy transition not only as a technological challenge but also as an opportunity to rethink how the city produces, consumes, and distributes energy, linking it to housing, industrial, and waste management policies.
The symposium brought together academics from MIT and UNAM to share their research findings and paths forward. This included projects that focus on the decarbonization of the Vallejo industrial district and the Daniel Garza neighborhood as well as alternative uses for the gases captured at Bordo Poniente.
Many thanks to the industry leaders, local researchers, public officials, and members of civil society that joined us to engage in a dialogue on the future of energy in CDMX and how these projects can be part of this future.
